Overview

Brinkmann Constructors is expanding its Project Controls team. We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented individual to join us as our Project Controls Analyst. This entry-level position will play a vital role in supporting the project controls program and activities throughout the construction lifecycle.

Responsibilities

As a Project Controls Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of project controls processes and systems under the guidance of the Project Controls Engineer, Project Controls Manager and Director of Project Controls. Your primary focus will be on supporting various administrative tasks and data management activities to ensure the smooth operation of project controls functions.

 

  1. Introduced to financial, quality, safety, and scheduling best practices for the company.
  2. Introduced to key performance indicators, standard reports and documents.
  3. Work with Operations and Project Controls to learn the lifecycle of a construction project and the critical success factors for projects.
  4. Work directly with the Project Controls staff to learn company best practices.
  5. Conduct meetings with Project Teams to review processes, identify areas of improvement, and upskill our workforce.
  6. Work with the Project Controls team to implement process improvements.
  7. Assist in best practice education and development for project documentation and records, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project-related documents.
  8. Support the Project Controls team in data entry, organization, and management of project information in relevant systems and databases.
  9. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other project-related documents as required by project stakeholders.
  10. Collaborate with project team members to ensure accurate and timely collection of project data.
  11. Support the coordination of meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to project controls processes and tools.
  12. Assist in conducting regular reviews of project controls documentation and processes to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  13. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in project controls to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Controls Engineer or Project Controls Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous internship in the construction industry or project controls work preferred
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies used in project controls.

Working Conditions:

  • The Project Control Analyst work is primarily performed indoors at Brinkmann’s corporate office
  • This role requires regular office hours, with potential for extended hours during reporting cycles
  • Travel will be required two to three days each month
  • Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 10 pounds and some
  • Standing, walking, sitting, talking and/or hearing
