Overview

The People Partner Coordinator works under the direction of the People Team leaders and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day People administration and operations. This role can be based in either Denver or St. Louis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a highly engaging culture, motivate employees, and foster an environment with high levels of teamwork, empowerment, accountability, and communication through the establishment and management of high-quality People services and talent strategies.
  • Communicate and reinforce the company’s mission and values by partnering with leaders and employees to promote a supportive environment that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging where different perspectives are recognized and valued for the benefit of the team.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, researching and answering questions, communicating procedures, and interpreting policies.
  • Maintain and update People and personnel files and processing paperwork.
  • Perform a wide variety of People transactions in HRIS system and necessary steps tied to processing terminations, job and pay changes, creating reports, processing transfers and auditing reporting structure.
  • Build, pull and troubleshoot HRIS reports.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in internal processes and making constructive suggestions for change.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law, applying this knowledge to suggest changes in policy, practice, and resources.
  • Provide health benefits administration assistance, including benefit enrollment processing and approvals, employee assistance, COBRA reporting and administration, and auditing health benefit coverage against carrier invoices.
  • Support the company’s wellness program, including coordinating wellness events, managing reporting within the wellness carrier platform, administering wellness funds, and partnering with Payroll to oversee medical premium discounts tied to wellness participation.
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local labor law posting requirements across offices and jobsites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associates degree with relevant equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of health benefits and related payroll deductions.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in an HR department or in an administrative role.
  • Experience working in an HRIS including but not limited to, building and running ad hoc reports.
  • Exercise a high level of discretion and confidentiality in managing sensitive employee information.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment; detail-oriented, adaptable, and dependable under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of payroll deductions.
  • Valid DL.

Preferred: 

  • Experience supporting benefits administration and/or payroll processing.
  • Experience in UKG or Workday.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, production, or similar industry.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is typically performed indoors out of a main office; may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Position requires frequent, high-level of autonomy as it relates to decision-making that impacts company results.

Salary starts at $60,000 and up. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
